A Great Nintendo Wii Portal

Check out the below video for Hula Wii…

About the only good news I have about this title that it has no US release date as of yet. But beware, it’s coming… when you least expect it.

Remember the multi-colored Wiimote straps that debuted in Japan a few months back? No… me either.

But in any case, folks who live in Australia can currently go buy the set which features straps in colors Green, Blue, Pink, and White.

The straps sell for AU $9.95 ($7)

October 20th is the day you Wii Music fans will want to circle on your calenders, as this is the day that Wii Music hits store shelves.

So, what do you think, will this game have mass market appeal or will it get lost in the shuffle with all the other “music” games (Rock Band 2 & Guitar Hero: World Tour)? Leave a comment below with your guesses.

Supposedly the download is going to be fully compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour, which hits store shelves in October.

Wii Gold Box

Not much for me to add here, so check out the description from the site below.

On Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, eight Wii video games will be featured as the top eight deals in the Amazon.com Gold Box. The identities of each deal will be revealed one at a time.

Here’s how it will work:

The first deal will be the Gold Box Deal of the Day. Its special discounted price will be available all day (or until we run out) on Friday, Sept. 19.

A series of seven Lightning Deals will then kick off at 6:00 AM PST. Each deal will be featured for a limited-time throughout the day until they are sold-out or until the next Lightning Deal begins. Learn more about Gold Box Deals in our Help section.

Start doing some finger stretches, as I’m sure many of you will be clicking a lot tomorrow.

Yep, you read the title right.

“Wii Fit Family” will begin airing next week on Nick at Nite. The show will have families going toe-to-toe in various zany Wii Fit challenges.

Not only is this a horrid idea, it’s also hosted by Kristi Yamaguchi.

On another note, if their going to have a show about video games, I demand they bring back Nick Arcade, but only if it’s hosted by Phil Moore.

It’s been confirmed that some tracks from the Jimi Hendrix estate will be making their way onto Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Kotaku has a good quote from Janie Hendrix, the overseer of everything Hendrix…

Guitar Hero really was on the ball and and they were biting at the bit to get this out this year, so, we just accommodated them…Jimi was a kid at heart — he definitely would have played these games

Some of the songs that have been confirmed are Purple Haze, Foxy Lady & Little Wing.

You might be thinking to yourself… Didn’t we already have a Nintendo Summit this year? Well, yeah… but what do you have against having another one?

It’s been confirmed that Nintendo will be holding a 2 day event on October 2nd and 3rd in San Francisco. They’ll be showcasing upcoming games for both the DS and Wii.

Be honest, whose excited?

It’s been a fun run since starting The Wii Experience back when the Wii was first launched and turning it into Wii Living that we have today thanks to the folks at the Bloggy Network. Alas, apparently the fun must come to an end which explains the lack of updates since around the first of the month. Although it’s not been made “official” by folks above me that handle the finances, it appears things just aren’t going to work out anymore here. Which is honestly ok as I’ve got other things going on in life and my passion for the Nintendo Wii has waned over the years. I also won’t really have the time to update the site any longer as the wife and I are expecting our 2nd baby in about 2 weeks. Wild time to lose a side job but life goes on and I have nothing but appreciation for the opportunity I was given here. If you’d like to stay in touch, you can catch me at andygoin@gmail.com or add me to your Playstation 3 friends list as “NipGrip”.

Thank you all and goodnight.
